Microsoft has recently
launched an advertising campaign between Office 2019 and Office 365. Its
purpose; You discourage buying Office 2019 and opt instead for Office 365. The Office
publisher has published three commercials that feature twins performing the
same tasks in one of two versions of their office suite. Word, Excel and
PowerPoint. As a reminder, Office 2019 is the latest version of the Microsoft
Offline Office Suite. Like its predecessors, Office 2019 is released as a final
license for Windows and Mac platforms. But these licenses do not include any
upgrade options. The Redmond firm explains that the Office user must make a
single upfront payment to obtain Office 2019 applications on their computer for
offline use.
On Mac platforms, Office
2019 includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The Office 2019 for Windows
suite includes, as usual: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Publisher,
Visio and Access. However, users of Windows 11 and Windows Server should be the
only ones who can benefit. Office 365, for its part, can be considered as the
Cloud equivalent of Office 2019 marketed as a monthly or annual subscription.
According to Microsoft, it ensures that the user will always have up-to-date,
up-to-date productivity tools, patches, features, and security updates in
conjunction with free, ongoing technical support. Probably in order to help its
customers get an overview of the many benefits of Office 365 on Office 2019
which, it must be remembered, incorporates some of the many features that
enrich Office 365, Jared Spataro, the vice president of Microsoft 365,
explained:
"Office 365 is
connected to the cloud. So you can access your content from any device, in
collaboration with anyone in real time (whether you've bought a copy of Office
or not) and use the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to to create
compelling content with less effort. In return, Office 2019 also offers
complete installations of Office applications that we know and love, but they
are "frozen in time". They are never updated with new features and
are not connected to the cloud. In addition, Office 2019 does not support
real-time co-authoring between applications and does not have the incredible
AI-based features provided with Office 365 Microsoft estimates that the offline
versions of its Office suite (including Office 2019) are for customers who are
not yet cloud-ready and would prefer that you join the 33.3 million Office 365
and its incredible features based on AI; " Below is a list of the main
differences between Office 2019 and Office 365. The Redmond firm has formalized
the launch of its Office 2019 office suite for Mac and Windows platforms. It
will allow Office users who do not want or can not afford Office 365, its Cloud
equivalent that is associated with a set of services (such as One Drive,
Exchange Online, Skype for Business, SharePoint Online or Yammer), subscribing
to renewable subscriptions to acquire Microsoft's standard office suite through
a single purchase. Microsoft took advantage of its Ignite 2018 conference in
Orlando to make this announcement and announce the availability of a trial
version for Mac of its Files on Demand tool. Under Mac OS Mojave, Files on
Demand allows users to see all their One Drive files in the Finder (file
manager) of an APFS volume and download only those they need when the computer
is connected to the Internet. On Mac platforms, Office 2019 includes Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The Office 2019 for Windows suite includes, as
usual: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, Access and Publisher.
But Windows 11 and Windows Server users should be the only ones who can
benefit.
Office 2019, the successor
to Office 2016, will integrate some of the many features that have enriched
Office 365 ProPlus in the last three years. His publisher described it as a
"single version;" which "will not receive future feature updates.
Like the Windows Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC), Office 2019 provides a set
of valuable enhancements for customers who cannot be connected to the cloud or
receive updates on a regular basis," wrote Jared Spataro, vice president
of Office & Windows Marketing at Microsoft. Improved inking and
accessibility features such as Read Aloud or Text Spacing land on Word 2019.
This app now has a focus mode (on Mac) to help you stay focused and a dark
theme under Windows. Outlook has received contact card updates, new features
like Focused Inbox, support for Office 365 Groups, and more. OneNote is always
free and available outside of Office, regardless of the platform.
